Brian Goodwin

Lead RIVETer

Originally from Western New York, Brian moved south upon graduating high school to pursue a career in NASCAR. After completing his college degree, he began a 12-year career with NASCAR Productions as an intern, but quickly became one of the company's leading Producer-Editor's. Brian played an integral role in some of NASCAR's most innovative projects for television networks such as NBC (Kurt Busch: 36, Onward to Victory: Notre Dame Hockey), ESPN (Riding Shotgun: Kyle Busch, NASCAR Now), Velocity (Peak Stock Car Dream Challenge), National Geographic (Racing to America), SPEED (Inside the Headsets, Chasing Daytona: Kenny Wallace), & Showtime (Inside NASCAR). Between 2011-2012, Brian also honed his storytelling craft by directing & editing hour-long documentaries for two of NASCAR's greatest drivers (Bobby Allison & Darrell Waltrip) leading to their enshrinement in the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Brian's tireless work with NASCAR was recognized with numerous National Sports Emmy Awards (2007, 2010, 2012) & accolades.

In 2014, Brian shifted gears. He forged a new path as a freelance filmmaker & visual storyteller & created B. RIVETed Entertainment with a simple goal: help clients, large & small, bring their video projects to life. Editing projects for ESPN Films (SEC Storied: The Walk Off), NBC (Racing Roots, Dale Jr Download), Netflix (Coach Snoop), Amazon (All Or Nothing: The Michigan Wolverines), National Geographic (1989: The Year That Made Us), UFC (Dana White: Lookin' For a Fight), ESPN's The Undefeated (A Conversation with The President), & SEC Network (SEC Inside), the company is now positioned on a proven track of independent success. B. RIVETed has also teamed with First Row Films to produce & edit ESPN's acclaimed SEC Storied: Thunder and Lightning, & a National Sports Emmy-nominated docuseries highlighting the annual Elite 11 football camp at Nike World Headquarters. In 2015, Brian made his ESPN directorial debut with SEC Storied: The Bo You Don't Know, retracing the life of Bo Rein, a collegiate football coach on the rise, tragically killed in a plane crash. His death left the LSU Tigers community shattered mere months after taking over as their head football coach. "What if?" A fitting follow-up, The Bowden Dynasty, has been Brian's most extensive undertaking to date. Nearly two years in the making, this film chronicles the life of coach Bobby Bowden & his legendary dynasty both on & off the football field. Brian co-directed & edited this feature-length documentary, which included nearly 70 interviews with Coach Bowden's family, friends, former players, & coaches. On January 8, 2017, the film premiered in 450+ movie theaters nationwide. (For more info: CLICK HERE)
